Simulation is an essential ingredient in the analysis and design process of power electronics and electrical drives. It helps the design engineer to have a better understanding of the circuit operation and possible problems can be discovered in an early phase of design
a process, resulting with adequate financial benefits. A software-based simulation tool is an indispensable tool for research and development. This workshop presents the design of power electronic converters and controllers using PROTEUS which includes AC/DC converters, DC/DC converters, DC/AC inverters and AC /AC converters. The prime aim of the workshop is to facilitate the participants in an elegant manner about the various software tools and provide hands-on sessions related to the simulation circuits for various topologies of power converters and modeling of electrical drives
